First time we met July 4, 2015

At a Chicago Lounge in Wicker Park hosting a Reggae Night. Shakerah was actually waiting for her date who stood her up that night. As a result, she was not the friendliest that evening but Bello managed to strike up a conversation that led to a fun filled evening with dancing & tacos! They kept in touch and were invested in getting to know each other ever since.

He asked & she said yes July 4, 2021

In true Summertime Chi fashion, the proposal took place on Lake Michigan. He coordinated a surprise with the help of family and close friends to meet before boarding a yacht where he surprised her with the big question!
